Update to Tempe Council’s Border Wall Fiasco

Thanks to a reader who is researching Tempe City Council’s time spent to oppose a border wall between the United States and Mexico.

It turns out our Council members, paid by Tempe taxes, have been using staff time and resources to develop the resolution that will be voted on at the January 18, 2018 Council meeting.  This resolution will be a statement that the City of Tempe should oppose “Trump’s” Border Wall.  Notice the negative language towards the President, as though he pulled the idea to secure the United States out of a hat.

How stupid do most of these Tempe Council members think we are?  We know this resolution is simply to recruit more voters in their back pockets because much of Council’s Anti-American platform is unconstitutional and unsustainable.

At this time, we want to positively recognize Councilman Kolby Granville because so far he is the only member who knows this border wall controversy has nothing to do with Tempe Council’s realm of responsibility.  Here is a response Mr. Granville wrote to a concerned citizen:

Remember in the proposed resolution Councilmembers and President Trump-haters Lauren Kuby and David Schapira empathized with taxpayers regarding the expense for a border wall?  They can’t be taken seriously while they waste Tempe taxpayers’ money requesting staff spend man hours and resources on an issue that is outside Council’s authority.
